singing songs underneath the sun

I have not blogged in what seems like a very long time. I am now out of school, at work and with some new goals in mind. However, blogging has always been kind of a pride issue and I don't like saying I have a blog (I'm not too sure, please no offense) but I want to keep one. So to make my pride and self esteem feel better I am going to do this another way for me homecoming blog.

Hey Betty!
Thank you so much for calling from camp today! I swear I had just left my phone for 2 seconds to help dad with something and when I come back i have a missed call from no one else but you! Sneaky crackhead. Well, aside from that it was wonderful to catch up and hear how you're being an amazing counselor. Those girls' lives will never be the same. You did ask how/ what I was up to. Now, despite the fact that our souls are connected I will tell you a bit about all that. I am currently working 100% at Showmars and with IBOEVENTS as I mentioned. I think I am getting pretty burned out with Showmars, I love my fellow coworkers and that I can almost literally work with my eyes closed...I just think it may be time to move on. We'll see, I always say that and never mean it. Baha.I just like that comfort (as I'm sure you know). However, the other job started with my friend, Katie, whose aunt has like this event thing where I am now helping them translate papers, emails and in conferences etc. I really like this because I've noticed that I really have to work some more on my Spanish. It's pathetic what words I have to look up sometimes. Ah, so now we get into things that I should work on and that I want to start working on....
1. Much to your surprise, as you said, I am now beginning to eat fruits(pineapple, raspberries, apples, and bananas-daily!) and VEGETABLES (cucumber, corn and lettuce-I am starting small)
2. I have gotten into running and really just want to be healthier.
3. I've been rediscovering my pride in Mexico during the World Cup
4. I have loved being outside(despite the scorching heat gag-Boone breeze, I miss you) and
5. I have taken it upon myself to help Chris (16 year old) to train for his high school's soccer tryouts
6. I'm beginning to seek new ways to speak Spanish

So, with all this being said, I think I just need a very healthy outlook on life. I need something new to attach my energy towards (besides my new kids that I'll get in August!) I just don't feel like I'm making a difference in anyone's life right now and I usually thrive on that. But we'll see. Thanks for the pep-talk and for a new way to begin my blog. I'll leave you with this picture.
